How to find power plants and projects of interest
Combine location, energy source, capacity and status filters to find developments that match your analysis.
The Power Plants and Projects solution helps you select generation developments and consult their information. Start with a broad search and refine the results according to your objective.
1. Define the area and energy source
Choose the area of interest and the generation source you want to investigate, such as solar, wind or hydropower.
Use only a few criteria for your initial search. Then add filters to narrow the list to the most relevant developments.
2. Refine by capacity and status
Use capacity and status filters to align the search with your objective: explore operating plants, monitor projects under development or select opportunities for further investigation.
Interpret the recorded status alongside the other project information. A project record does not mean it has already been built or has secured grid access.
3. Consult the project details
Open a result to view the available information. Check its location, capacity, status and associated entities.
Also review the available references and dates. Note any information that needs confirmation before using it to make a decision.
4. Explore the distribution on the map
View the developments on the map to understand their distribution and regional context.
Proximity between projects can help identify areas of concentration. To investigate electrical infrastructure and connection alternatives, also consult the guide How to assess a grid connection point on the map.
5. Organize your shortlist
Compare the results using the same criteria:
Location and energy source.
Capacity and status.
Associated companies and entities.
References and information to confirm.
Use this shortlist to decide which developments warrant a more detailed analysis or business outreach.
